Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Stephen has lived in Switzerland for more than 11 years. Prior to settling in Switzerland, Stephen worked and lived in England, France, Italy and Poland, and Ireland, where he is proud to be from. 
With a broad range of educational, personal and professional experiences, at 40 years of age, Stephen prides himself on being a highly adaptable self starter with no problem too big to solve.
In his youth, Stephen studied a four year B.A. degree in Natural Science at Trinity College Dublin, and followed this with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) at the same university. Stephen also holds a University of Cambridge accredited certificate in teaching English as a foreign language (CELTA). Stephen is a certified Leadership 360 Coach, Design Thinking certified, and holds an ITIL certificate.
In Switzerland, Stephen worked for several years as a trainer and communications lead consultant in a Fortune 500 company, and spent 5 years employed at executive management level in another Fortune 500 company working as a Learning & Development Manager of Leadership and Soft Skills.
It was this latter managerial experience in corporate leadership and soft skills that encouraged Stephen to found 'Ronan Coaching' in order to share his wealth of knowledge and skills, combined with his teaching background, to coach and help others learn these immensely valuable skills. Always noted for his strong work ethic, listening and teaching skills, and a strong sense of resilience, Stephen hopes to reach as many clients as possible in helping them apply these knowledge and skills to help them thrive in their careers and lives.
Prior to working in the corporate world in Switzerland, Stephen has worked as an English language teacher for adults in 3 countries, as an actor in Italy, a secondary school teacher (fully registered in both Ireland and England) of Geography, History, Science, French, and Social Studies, and has also worked in real estate management.
In his free time Stephen's passion is photography and song writing/recording as well hiking, fitness and travelling with his Swiss wife. His photography has featured in several publications including the Irish Times newspaper, as well as being used by the History Channel. His music has featured multiple times on Swiss radio.
